SHUM is a team of interdisciplinary artists who create physical art objects and digital content. Our commercial фтв artistic projects arise from sincere passion and mind games, with experimentation and irony as central elements.
Born out of a decade-long friendship, Andrey Gorlachev (new media artist) and Alexander Zhiganov (creative producer) initiated our journey in January 2023, and together with 11 like-minded creators, they form the core of SHUM.

NARCISSUS SCULPTURE 2024
Do you know the myth of Narcissus? We bet you do!
For SHUM, this project was a real experiment, as it was our first time working with sculpture. We created Narcissus for the Night of Light festival program, capturing the moment of his metamorphosis. His upper body is still human, while his lower half is already merging with the earth. LED strips simulate the process of draining energy from his torso, animating the transformation.
