SHUM is a team of new media artists working internationally with physical art objects, installations and digital content. Born out of a decade-long friendship, Andrey Gorlachev (😎, b. 1994, new media artist) and Alexander Zhiganov (🙂, b. 1998, creative producer) initiated the team's journey in January 2023, and together with 11 like-minded creators, they form the core of SHUM.

Art is often presented in overly serious tones, yet at the core of SHUM’s practice lie irony, experimentation, and genuine enjoyment of the creative process. Best known for their mixing of digital and physical in installations, the team has developed a diverse body of work – from gamification of quantum physics and exhibitions of electromagnetic fields to living art objects and performances.

SHUM has presented its work at international new media festivals including Intervals, Outline, Signal and NUR, and now they are ready to bring creativity to your city, gallery or event anywhere in the world.
